They are allowed to open May 1. Doesn't mean they will.

^^^THIS^^^^^ . IMHO, more will be opening closer to the end of May around
Memorial Day weekend and beyond when we start seeing more constant visitor traffic.

I am a larger (muscular) guy and I still can’t get value out of most buffets lol. I just don’t eat THAT much. Don’t get me wrong, they’re pretty awesome, but $20 should be a fair price not like $40 or $50 haha I can’t eat that much food in one sitting.

4-27-21 on nextdoor:

State Approves Clark County’s Local Mitigation Plan Easing Capacity & Social Distance Restrictions. ▪️The plan can go into effect on May 1. Effective Saturday, capacity restrictions in Las #Vegas and #ClarkCounty increase to 80%, #SocialDistancing reduced to 3 feet.

▪️Capacity and social distancing requirements removed when 60% of the eligible population (people age 16+) receives one dose of #COVID19 vaccine.

▪️To date, 46.5% of people have received at least one dose.

▪️The statewide mask mandate remains in place.

Highlights of our plan:
80% occupancy allowed at:
◾Gyms
◾️Fitness Studios
◾️Pools and Spas
◾️Water Parks
◾️Libraries and Museums
◾️Retail Stores
◾️Indoor Malls
◾️Karaoke Establishments
◾️Community and Recreational Centers
◾️Adult entertainment establishments - but must maintain strict social distancing, entertainers must be at least three feet from members of the public if the entertainer has taken the first dose of the vaccine and only after 14 days of the vaccination date. The entertainer must complete the second dose of the vaccine within six seeks of taking the first dose, if applicable. Or, the entertainer must take a weekly COVID test and receive a negative result.
◾️Nightclubs and dayclubs. But until 60% of the eligible population has received at least one dose of a vaccine, designated areas for dancing must remain closed.

Other notable items:
◾️Restaurant seating expanded to 12 people
◾️Buffets allowed to return
◾️Bartop seating expands to 4
◾️Salad, salsa bars and other self-service options allowed under certain conditions.
◾️Food sampling allowed at grocery stores and farmer’s markets.
◾️Elevator capacity expands to 8
◾️Body art and piercing establishments, spas and massage establishments would remain subject to capacity restrictions and social distancing requirements and services would be appointment only.

Until social distancing is removed, all concerts including live music and DJ entertainment, sporting events or other such events would have assigned seating. Fairs, conventions and other similar gatherings could have general admission.

Most of the buffets are still closed as of May 2nd. No information provided about their reopening dates yet.

Cosmopolitan's buffet reopened "with restrictions".
