It's been a while since I had to tint my windows.
The dealer put the legal allowable limit on the front windows, and limo tint on the rear. The rear is perfect.
Obviously I want the front darker.
I had it about 6 yrs ago with no issue.
But that was then.
How likely is it Metro will stop and ticket me?

Curious about the citation rate.

It might depend on where you are. If you're on The Strip, Metro might be more inclined to check you out for any reason.
Anywhere else, who knows what the chances are? You could contact Metro to find out what the fine is.

Depends on what type of car you have.

I think both of the above are accurate.

If you are driving a mini-van, in Summerlin, and not driving like a moron you probably won't get pulled over.

If you have a broken muffler, booming stereo, driving like a moron, and on the strip you'll get pulled over.

ymmv.

I had a CHP officer looking for any type of film on side windows really inspecting closely before he would write off my fix it ticket. Then he pointed to his partner's car which was locked behind closed gates and told me to check it out and his side windows were total pitch black. So what does this tell you?

They don’t seem to stop cars without license plates here! It amazes me how many cars are on the roads w/o plates. Can’t imagine they’d stop you for window tint.
