My favorite part of Henderson is The District @ GVR. Such a fun hang-out spot.

Job market as a whole across the metro is decent...it just depends on what you're looking to do.

Paseo Del Prado - 740 E. Warm Springs | Apartments.com

They are in the 89015 zip code which is yellow on your map so that is one of the second best areas, right?

The exact address is 740 E Warm Springs; is this really Henderson or is it Las Vegas? Because it says its in Vegas on Apartments.com but when I google the 89015 zip it says that zip code is Henderson!

Also their apartments are very affordable compared to other places in Henderson (according to Apartments.com a 1 bedroom rents for $584 a month). This is esp. what caught my attention since my wife and I are parents/college students on a very tight budget!

So all that being said, would anyone reccomend the apartments and is E Warm Springs, in specific, a safe area?

while most of 89015 is nice that address along with areas along Center Street and Major near it are not the nicest. I need to drive past there to get to the city and work. I would be hesitant.

sorry to dispute the "Crime statistics" but there is NOT an area in the entire Las Vegas Valley that I would hesitate for an INSTANT to drive thru at anytime of the day or night.....in some of them i might roll up the windows and double check the doors but I would still drive thru.....

I live in Henderson. Its very nice not much crime very safe. Housing has gone down so you can get a 2-3 bedroom under K. At the same time there are million dollar range homes so it just depends. As far as jobs are concerned Henderson is still close to the strip so finding a job nearby isn't that hard.

My son lives in 89012, and its a very nice affordable area. The condo common area looks like a resort. I know he rented out his condo last year at a very affordable price. This is in the W. Horizon Ridge Parkway area. It is not far from the strip or the mountains. Good luck. Mom in Atlanta

When purchasing a property in and around Vegas there is more to just the purchase price to consider when buying a home.
There are some things to consider in some area's of Henderson you could end up with a lid( land improvement district) some call it a Sid (special improvement district) This is an additional fee you could end up paying along with the regular HOA those fees are passed on to the owners of the homes from when the property was built and the developer didn't pay for the infrastructure to be put in, like roads, sewer, street lights you get the idea, also depending where you end up you could end up with an HOA within a HOA a double gated community.

The city of Henderson like every where else is suffering from tax revenues falling and they have had to lay off employees.

We had a reasonable prior discussion that dealt with SID/LIDS...
