Any ideas for long term pet friendly hotels while house hunting? I feel like a hotel will be more flexible than an airbnb, depending on how quick we can close on a house.

Any suggestions or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

We are currently in an Airbnb and it's been great. The ad said no pets but they were fine with small dog. No additional fee or anything. A decent sized hotel room would be a lot more expensive I believe.

My view would be an AirBnb or similar unless the stay is only a few weeks. The AirBnB people are actually quite flexible and you can make deals for some minimum number of weeks until months.

Thanks for the responses, I'm concerned that if I rent an AirBnB for a month, then end up needing an extra week or 2, we would have to find something else short notice.

Do a search. We found hotels that take pets when our air conditioning died in the summer.

In Carson City we have an extended stay hotel that allows pets that seems to be very popular (I drive by it quite a bit and see lots of cars and people walking dogs in the parking lot).

It is called My Place Hotel and I think one is located in Las Vegas They seem to be a newer chain with clean, modern rooms and kitchenettes.

Are you going to keep your pet with you at all times? Most hotels that accept pets have rules against leaving your pet in your room while you are gone.

Download the app BringFido. Great app that lists hotels/motels that allow pets. Great for people who vacation with their fur babies.
