You get a lot of these "tough guy" attitudes in hot places. Then people find them dead from heat stroke after a heat wave hits.

Hope so, unless he has a ton of tree coverage it's gotta get close to 100 inside without any cooling when it's 115+ outside and lows are in the 90s. People can do as they please but heat stroke kills more than any other weather issue and people don't even realize they have it until they are near death.

reminds me of the "blast from the past" movie & i wonder how cell phone reception is in the bunker? the creepy hillbilly neighbors staring at you from the other side of the fence is a bit of an odd choice & the pink kitchen is over the top

It's just going to get hotter. By mid century summer will be nine months out of the year due to climate change.

Mid-May till Mid-September it's hot here. For me July and August are the hottest. I really don't mind it when it gets to 116. I like the hot wind, but I grew up in Texas so I'm used to this kind of dashboard melting heat but with humidity.
