Hello,

Can anyone suggest a lake that has houses right on a lake (where powerboats are permitted) within 90 mins of McCarren Airport? Budget under a million.

Thanks

Not gonna happen. Can get a waterfront house with boat access, but very limited horsepower boats at the Lakes or Desert Shores. Can get a waterfront house with good water access at Lake Las Vegas but you're talking millions. Can get a good view of Lake Mead and just a few minutes from a boat launch in Boulder City, but not a waterfront house because its all protected national parks land.

Yep not gonna happen here. Nothing like South Florida power boat capital of the world. Fast cars in Las Vegas yes, fast boats no.

Not practical on Lake Mead. Remember the bathtub ring? How do you do a lake front house when the water level varies by over a 100 feet.

Might be able to do something on the River below the dam. There are places with River access in the Bullhead City area. The lower river is it as far as I can tell.

That's probably the closest option, just over 90 minutes from LAS. Everything north of that on the river is government protected land. My uncle was telling me there are some apartment complexes in Bullhead that have a private dock for residents to use so probably some options around there or points south.

Desert Shores does not allow power boats on their lakes. Paddle boats yes; power never.

JJ - The only thing I can think of fun in desert shores would be some sort of catamaran. Too shallow for any sort of real keel boat.

Not seen any paddle boarding in there though it may be too shallow. Anyone know?
