So the Raiders have gone one step beyond the Saints on admittance to games.

The Saints required proof of vaccination or a test prior to entering the stadium. The Raiders however, are requiring proof of vaccination or a shot if I'm reading the policy correctly.

And the Governor preaches that people will then know that everyone in the stadium has been vaccinated (as though you have some instant protection after a shot). Why not just be honest and just admit you want people to get a shot then this nonsense?

They go on to say that if you aren't fully vaccinated, you must wear a mask. So let's think about the logistics of this....

Joe enters and has been fully vaccinated

Mike and Ken enter. One has had one shot and the other just got a shot.

They all get to their section and none wear masks.

Hmmmm? How is an usher supposed to know who should be wearing masks and who should not?

Not to mention, it still amazes me how anyone can say they're concerned about adverse or long range effects of a shot, and then be willing to sell their souls for a lottery or admittance to a game. That's a pretty low bar on your priorities if you ask me.

And don't even get me started on how long this is going to take to get into the stadium. I'd suggest arriving at least 4 hours early.

Well, our esteemed Governor is going to say (and possibly already has) "Don't want things to get shut down?? Then we need to make the jab a requirement". Interesting though, Isreal with one of the highest vaccination rates, also has one of the highest CV infection rates. https://www.deseret.com/coronavirus/...cinated-people
Also interesting is that they are going to have the jab centers located outside the stadium, in case you haven't been "fully" vaccinated. These have to be the J&J shots right? Since J&J is the only "one shot" vaxx out there, and all the others would be deemed " incomplete vaccinations", therefore denying you entry into the stadium. And that vaccine might get you into Allegiant maskless, but what about other places that are still requiring the mask regardless of vaxx status?
What I'd really like to know is if there was some "incentive" (cough cough) given to the Raiders by our esteemed Governor for the shot requirement. Things that make you go "hmmmm???"

Sidenote ... my teenage son, who attends Foothill HS mentioned yesterday that the whole school was given Chromebooks. What did he tell me? (he's catching on pretty well, btw) "Mom, I think the schools are getting ready to shut down again".

My understanding is they are letting people in with a single shot even if it is Moderna or Pfizer, you just have to wear a mask. Regardless, no one is going to be able to discern any info once you're in your section. Not to mention that those people who just got the shot aren't going to be protected from those vaccinated maskless people screaming that could have the virus. Honestly, the idiocy of this thing just blows my mind.

Well either you have this or you have reduced capacity seating. Considering how many people have spent thousands on these tickets on the secondary market, trying to claw back those seats would have been an utter disaster.

Sorry the restrictions upset you so much, but this is what governments have been doing for almost 18 months now. To act like any new mandates are somehow the worst thing ever is pure hyperbole.

Have what? A policy that does virtually nothing as I pointed out in my comment (assuming you actually spent some time reading it).

Far from upsetting. More like laughable. Why point fingers when someone points out flaws in thinking? You seem like you're bothered that someone calls out idiocy.

Bottom line is, stop with the games and be honest about your intentions.

I did not need another reason to stay home and watch the game on TV. (no blackouts with a simple VPN service).

It's gotten some Raiders fans to say they will get vaccinated so they can attend games Not so laughable if you ask me.

Again, just be honest. The goal is obviously just to get people to take a shot. It is not the safety of the fans as a person getting a shot right before going into a an event is really not protected at all. Give me a break. You know this and so do I.

Yeah that's good if you ask me. Tired of having to cater to people who won't get it. If this is how you keep something at full capacity and give those of us who got the shot an advantage I'm all for it. I'm sure they would have liked to be more direct but such is the world we live in where we have to dance around to keep it legal.

And you're welcome to give your opinion. I'm just making a general statement as to the actual effectiveness of this measure from a safety perspective for fans entering the game.

I would also be remiss in not mentioning that if a lot of these people that are newly vaccinated get infected while at the game and pass it around to the Vegas community, this whole thing could certainly backfire.
