We moved to Henderson (SCA) just as the Pandemic started so have spent a good amount of time staying at home. Since opening back up, we have attended many shows, visited Red Rock (was a little too hot), Mt. Charleston, gone to the strip (a little hot during the summer). Since moving here my husband now has heart issues (started after his COVID vaccine - not sure if it's related), so he's now less able to do a lot of physical things - he gets short of breath easily.

I'd appreciate ideas of things to do for retirees that won't require a lot of physical exertion (hiking, golf....) especially in the heat. Thanks!

Buy a couple eBikes. Henderson has wonderful, safe bike paths. The electric motor will help your husband manage the exertion. Of course, he should probably ask his doctor first, but assuming his doctor says moderate exertion is OK, eBiking is fun.

Do you like card games? If so, you might consider duplicate bridge. It can be played in a physical club or can be played online. The biggest group of new players are retirees who now have time to play. Some used to play but gave it up due to work/family and then go back after retirement. Others take it up after retirement as it is an activity that involves other people but not heavy exertion.

We are hoping to move to Las Vegas soon and we fall within the group of people who used to play. We gave it up when we had kids at home and we were both working. Just not enough time. We plan to take it back up once we get moved.

If you have not done the Mob Museum, that is well worth it, then a stop to The Underground, in the basement for a drink. You could easily spend all day there, nice on a hot day.
The Sharks Reef, at Mandalay Bay, is also worth it, and then dinner at Ri'Ra's Irish Pub in their shopping area. They have live Irish music and excellent food. Their Fish and Chips are the best and better than Village Pub if that is possible.
You mentioned shows, not sure if you have visited Myron's Jazz Cabaret, at the Smith Center, but they always have great affordable entertainment. I like that it is small. I think they changed caterers and the food is not as good, but then you have great choices on Fremont St.
If a casino near you has Bingo. I won once and my spouse once. I'm not a gambler and was not sure how to play, but they were patient and taught me at the Aliante. I'm 60 and those are a few things I enjoy.

SCA has nice pool tables in the community center. It has a walking track on the second floor with great views, take a slow walk and enjoy the scenery. The indoor and outdoor pools are very nice.

Ain't that the truth. I was OCD about cleaning, might be my age, but Vegas cured me. I never make a New Years' resolution as I never keep them, but this year I said, "Aint gonna fret none". Translated that means, I am not going to worry. If I keep the bathroom and kitchen clean I'm happy. Several of my neighbors have cleaning people who come every two weeks.

My husband has medical issues that limit his mobility so we look for low physical exertion things to do also.

Take a drive to Valley of Fire in Overton. $10 per car entry fee, stop at the Welcome Center lots of informative things to see. We bring a picnic lunch and drinks and sit at one of the many picnic table areas. The scenery is truly amazing. You can do short walks all over the place, plenty of trails.

Same thing at Mt Charleston, picnic and a short walk. It's usually always cooler than the Valley so it's a nice change of scenery and temps. We used to have lunch at the Lodge but sadly a massive fire put a stop to that.

We look up various restaurants to try and go out every few weeks. We really should do more of this. Covid made this hard to do. In the few years we've been here, we've barely made a dent in the restaurant visit list.

Days trips are always fun. Pick a town and go. We've been to Rhyolite - 2 hours away, very cool ghost town. Stop for lunch somewhere and back makes for a nice day. Oatman near Lauglin was fun, burros all over town will walk right up to people. I wasn't too impressed with Laughlin but it was something to do. Walking the path next to river was the best part of being in Laughlin for me.

Take a drive to Goodsprings and stop for lunch at the Pioneer Saloon. Check out the back room for the story of Clark Gable and Carole Lombard. Ghost Adventures did an episode here. We went during Covid a few times and the service was very slow. They were having staffing issues. Hopefully this is resolved.

Try the Pinball Museum on LV Blvd. I wasn't a big pinball person in my teens but I had fun the last 3 times we've been there! We take out of town visitors here, they like it then we stop for a good meal at Lazy Dog and it's a fun way to spend a few hours. The Titanic exhibit and Bodies exhibit at the Luxor are interesting. The shark reef aquarium at Mandalay was pretty good. We go to different casinos to try their restaurants or buffets and throw $20 in the slots from time to time. Check out any 55+ (50?) discounts offered at the casinos. Red Rock used to offer $4 movies on certain days. Not sure if they still do, it's been a while since I was there.

So many things to do here, hope you find some good stuff too.

Putting this on my list! I like Village Pub too. Have you tried the CodFather in Henderson? A little hole in the wall restaurant but the fish and chips plus mushy pea fritters dipped in curry sauce are I like it so much I've been back several times.

I will have to try Codfather, love the name. The mushy pea fritter with curry sauce I may be able to stomach, as I love curry. I never have understood Mushy Peas, I think it is the mint, as I do love pea salad.
When I did my DNA, I ended up 86% Scottish-Irish and 14% German-Austrian. Love German beer(Bitburger and Konig pilsner) but can't stand Irish beer. (Guinness dark or blonde).
If you go to Ri-Ra's and like Irish Whiskey, I know everyone will scream Jameson, but a shot of Red Breast is a great after-dinner finish, about 14.00 bucks, but worth it.
Whilst living in Spain, I had an English friend and when I would go to his house for the weekend, we would go out to eat and all the cafe owners knew Thomas by name. I remember one dinner his mom made and I knew why they all knew Thomas at the restaurants.
