Psyh cology? Is that the study of scything grain? Remember, what ye reap, so ye shall sow...so... we hate you too.

Well, I have been here for exactly 6 months and I LOVE it! I wish I would have made the move a long time ago. Of course, there are things that I don't like - but you are going to get that anywhere you live. Overall, it is the best move we could have made...

Here! Here!

You are so right. I've lived many, many places...even out of the country. After moving to a new place I reflect on where I just left. And after several moves I realized that I never get to really know a place. Even when I was on a tropical island on the equator...I really didn't get plugged in to the locals.

Now that I'm in Vegas and have committed 4 years here....I've been here 1 week and haven't really left my area.

I don't know where to go. I've felt really out of place here...fast paced while I'm a simple country girl. Hopefully, Vegas will be my town and I won't move anymore...but we'll see in a few years.

Well, since the Democratic majority leader of the US Senate and the moderate-to-liberal Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church of the United States both hail from Nevada, I might re-think the red state concept.

I agree with you for the most part, but gambling to an extent is about luck and chance (depending on WHAT you are gambling with/on of course!). I personally don't gamble too much and when I do it's more for entertainment. I also try to remember that some of my money is going to help the employees and the community, so that helps a bit.

Again, great post.

Glad to hear that because I am moving to the Henderson area next month.

Actually virtually all those scattered machines are video poker. The ones in the pubs do not have very good odds but not terrible either.

Why I always try to do is play very well and drink more than I lose. It gets really interesting as you have to balance the intake to enable enough sanity to play correctly and get home at the end...

YMMV.

I won't lie. I really don't know where to meet people here. I know there are people that are like me and I will find them. Every place I have been there is always a different approach to finding people to create friendships with. I'm still working on Vegas but when I have the answer I will definately post it. Anyone have any suggestions because Myspace is not the answer. Hahahahahha.
