Hello

Single guy (38) thinking very seriously about moving to Las Vegas/Henderson. I have heard good things about Tuscany and Green Valley Ranch. I was out there looking at places. Very nice.

Any thoughts? Seems like you can get quite a bit for around 200k.

Phil

Question: what floats your boat? As in, what do you like to do on a Friday night?

I'm not that big into crazy nightlife. I'm fairly reserved most of the time. Music or a beer is usually fine.

Kind of in the same boat. Not quite ready to pull the trigger.

GVR, Seven Hills, and McDonald Highlands (which can be BIG money) look good.

I'd avoid Tuscany (and probably Calico Ridge) like the plague. Also anything ont he flats between Boulder Highway and the 515, north of the 215 junction. This whole area is exposed to the waste from the old BMI plant (what is now Timet.) Tuscany, in particular is on the edge of what used to be BMIs waste dump.

One of the things I like about the up the hill parts of Henderson is that you can get great views of the strip.

Isn't that part quite far out from the strip and shopping?

You can get that view from the pool deck at GVR (which is what turned me on to it). GVR isn't far from shopping by any means. With light traffic, GVR is, what? 15-20 minutes from The Strip.
