For people that have left and still complain or think they are some kind of angel from God trying to save the poor souls that may wandering into the City of Sin.

1. If you no longer live here and love the new city you have moved to then why don't you spend your time on that section of the forum about how much you love your new home.

2. You do realize that no matter how much you post about how bad Vegas is that probably 99% of the people that are reading this are going to come here anyways.

Life is what you make it. Complaining and bitching on your way out the door is just sour grapes.

LOL That is true. In fact most people who hated Vegas hated it on the way in. They complained on the way to Vegas, the complained while they were in Vegas, and they complained on their way out of Vegas. And then they realized complaining is too much of a hobby for them to give up so they come to the Vegas forum to complain.

StereoDevil,

Well said. Several years ago, when my wife and I were starting our business here (we had not yet moved), we heard about a group that was complaining there were too many casinos in Las Vegas!

So why are they living here?.

Just my 2 cents.

I especially hate when people pull the "Las Vegas is immoral" card.

That's total BS.

Sure, there are adult-oriented aspects of the city. But if you don't pay attention to them, they won't affect your family. It's not the city's responsibility to raise your kids. If you're a good parent, yours kids will turn out just fine (yes, even in "evil, wicked Las Vegas").

Well, well......

I've often thought of the scripture story of .... I can't quote much but get the gist of stories.... Lot and his family who lived on the outskirts of some city..Sodom and Gomorrah...

anyways...just by them living near the city caused doom for them.

I'm no holy roller, but do believe in Christ and believe the scriptures. And it has crossed my mind a time or two about living on the outskirts of 'sin city'.

Nellis -you can't get any farther North or East than this.

I have to say that people who post negatives about Las Vegas is welcomed. As long as your accurate and you are telling the truth (facts) about living in Las Vegas. There has to be a good balance and it cant be all good. I would encourage people who would give a negative would also quote or link their sources. Some people do this, but most do not.

I agree. We all know there are pro and cons to any place. If people want to gripe and moan they should have every right to express their point of view. I think this forum is a form of therapy for some people. Makes them feel better to type out the frustration they are feeling. Gets the anger off their chests and onto the forum. I think that is why we see so many negative postings on here. Not because Vegas sucks, but because people who are unhappy are more likely to seek out these pages than people who are content. The content people are out enjoying their lives here.

Truer words were never spoken--when you're right, you're right, MR77. Those are the most sensible words I've read on here, in a while.

Got a rep point coming your way. GO LAKERS!

The main problem with people moving to Vegas and then moving back and complaining the whole time is that when they visit the Strip they think that the whole Vegas valley is just like it and everyone's rich and happy in there. They think its paved with gold and as soon as they get there a red carpet will be rolled out and they'll get rich.
Yet when they get there it's just like any other city, and they end up not being able to afford the high roller style and don't get that 1000$ a day tip job, so they start bashing Vegas for being bad.
It's kinda scary, I haven't even moved there but I already know so much that people PM me thinking I'm local I only got 1 year to go until my move date which is July 1, 2009
