I was thinking about installing them for my home. Did any of you do-it-yourself or have it professionally installed? My house is just too darn hot even when the blinds are closed.

I had all of the west facing windows covered professionally. It came out to a little over $700 to do 7 large windows. I can't remember the contractor off the top of my head. The difference is phenomenal.

I would stick to west and south windows. Note they significantly darken the home as well.

I have them on my home and they are the best thing since sliced bread. My house is very comfortable, and the front of my house faces the mountains to the west.

$100 a large window. That sounds reasonable. My office blinds are closed right now, but the sun is beaming on it and I could feel the radiating heat.

As I recall, we paid about $100 a window a year ago. Major difference!

At the price, I'd have them installed ... but then I'm lazy.

I have used Nevada Solar Screens two times and they are the best looking screens from the outside by far-super high quality. Do not let them try to up-sell you. The basic screens are fine, the up-graded material is too dark for my taste.
