Bless you! Somebody that knows food
We went to Farm Basket I think the name is...Better than kfc but not worth returning to.
Charleston location sounds like less drama. Thanks for the tips.

This white girl had a Mom that didn't cook and thus far I am not good at soul food that has been passed down from several generations. I do cook a lot since I arrived in Vegas (borning healthy stuff lol) but would like to go to a nice place once every two weeks for Southern or Soul food If Virgils wasn't on the strip in parking structure HELL that would be my ideal. Enjoyed the one in NYC.

Assuming that is the same Islands that is in LA,CA is fair for American. Not bad. Doable.

TEK mentioned BJS. The BJS in LA,CA has loud college kids. Is the one here the same?
Hope this m&M is good, someone offered up here

I am getting the idea there are not a lot of black people with money in Vegas (forgive me if this is NON PC to say) just knowing how many soul food choices from cheap to high end in LA I had. And limited here.

We go to the one across the street north of Red Rock casino on Charleston out by 215. Not too noisy most nights. We avoid football game times though.

FYI: I'd stay away from their Pizza. They will try to upsell you on it and it is straight out of the freezer.

At BJ's? Not our experience at all. We've been to the one here and one in Sacramento and never had pizza pushed at us. Go Mondays. Large pizzas are 1/2 off as are margaritas and mini pizzas. Check their website for daily specials.
