I am glad to see this. I love shopping at Target... and it shows that Vegas is indeed a worthwhile place

Las Vegas Now | Despite Shaky Economy, Target Opens New Store
It was on the news the other day that Wal-Mart and Target are doing well despite the economy.

People are looking to spend less and not pay the foo foo prices at the foo foo stores of the recent past. And I've also noticed a lot more people in the 99 cent only stores, as well. Even on the weekdays.

right. momX2...even McDonald's is doing well in these economic times, as people switch their eating out habits down a few notches to try and spend less while still "eating out".

I heard that as well jfk. Although, here in Las Vegas, you'd never know it. In particular Summerlin. Most every restaurant is packed on a weekend. We tried to get in Olive Garden on Saturday night, but didn't want to wait the 45 minutes to an hour to be seated. Then we went to Roy's, they had a 35-40 minute wait.

We called Carrabba's, they had an hour wait. Agave had a 30-40 minute wait. We ended up at Kilroy's (5 minute wait)

The McDonald's drive through was going to be our last option, lol

its good to hear that some restaurants are making business because over here on Saturday night, plenty of restaurants had empty parking lots, maybe everyone is going to Summerlin to eat? lol, this was on South Eastern, but lunch time, places were packed, but for some reason businesses also aren't seeming to fare very well on South Eastern lately...

They've started to build bigger Targets that aren't Greatlands, but are bigger than the regular Target, an example of this would be the Target on Blue Diamond/Valley View with a Starbucks, expanded grocery and frozen foods, and electronics...
