If you're young, and wet behind the ears. It's too crowded, and things are way overpriced. There are a lot of great restaurants and bars off Strip. The only reason I go down there is to see a show or concert, which is very rare. I did go down there more often when I first moved here three years ago, but it got old quickly. On the rare occasions I do gamble, I go to the Santa Fe Station, since I live in Centennial Hills.

but seriously...they have ruined all the great off-strip attractions: Mountasia, Scandia, etc...the only things that are left are on the strip (shark reef, bodies, etc), but the adventuredome sucks...

will something other than another bowling, movie theater, or roller/ice rink open up soon...

I enjoy going to the dog parks with my three iggies, especially Barkin' Basin. Desert Breeze has been ruined by all of the people with big dogs, including a lot of pit bulls lately, in the small dog section. Are these people retarded? There's a section for large dogs; why don't they use that?

I dont live in Vegas, but I have spent months at a time at my previous gf's house in Vegas. The 'Strip' is part of LV life, for sure.

But, I think usually you just drive to A casino, then walk around it specifically with whatever reason you chose that one. When you walk 'the Strip' in general, then you'll be bumped into by 100s of drunk tourists, and have dozens of other guys handing you garbage/flyers and such. I found 'on the strip', everyone treats you like a tourist, and there isn't really any reason to just 'walk around' on the strip in general when you have a car and just go to where you want to go.

Maybe you should change the title of your post. Make it about Sportsbooks. I'm sure someone will be able to answer it for you. Sorry I can't answer your question, I really only play the penny slots when I do gamble.

Is that park in the CH area? My family has a Blue Heeler and the wife has been wanting to take the boy and the pup to a dog park. We have a pretty big yard so I don't see the point, and I'm not sure that Heelers are the most dog-friendly breed, but wifey runs the show.

It's in the flood control basin at Alexander and Tenaya. I think it's the biggest one in town but there isn't much shade so right now early or late is the best time to go there. Some of the other parks have more shade, like Woofter Park, which might be the closest one to you. Here is a list of city dog parks. They sort of hide the location in a box in the right hand corner.

I think the best sportsbooks are on the Strip and a lot of locals hang out in them. I don't, but when I walk through one I somehow get the feeling that most of the customers are locals.
