Hello all! I will be coming to Vegas this Monday and it is my first trip. I am only 19, but I plan to be 21 during my stay in Vegas.

Any suggestions for a first-timer? I will be staying at Bill's right in the middle of the strip. My flight and hotel for Monday thru Friday is only $200. (I got a helluva good deal!) I will be with a couple friends, one of which has been to Vegas several times. I'm really looking forward to having a good time and leaving my hometown for a week. Any suggestions will help! Thanks!

My suggestion is wait until you're 21, unless you don't plan on drinking or gambling. I visited when I was 20 and was using a "fake" ID (belonged to a friend who looked somewhat like me), and almost ended up in jail. A very timely 911 call that the cop considered to be more important made the difference.

Enjoy your visit, and keep it legal.

If you get caught, and you will look suspicious so don't be surprised if you do, you could end up in jail. The casinos take what you are planning to do very seriously, and so do the cops. It can cost a casino hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines, and put a license worth hundreds of millions at risk, so they won't be nice about it. You should come, but if you do just enjoy the legal things there are for you to do, and stay away from drinking or gambling. It may be legal for you to drink where you come from, but here you must be 21. And don't even think about putting even one coin in a machine.

Wow! That's kind of scary. I wasn't really planning on gambling at all and when I drink I don't get too out of hand. I just figured I'd need an ID to get into places that I otherwise wouldn't be allowed to get into.

Las Vegas will still be here when you turn 21...stay away for now.

Casino security DOES ask for proof of age if you are suspected of being underage...REMEMBER YOU ARE ALWAYS BEING WATCHED IN THE CASINOS.

You think you're the first one to come up with the phony ID gimmick? Security can see through that in a second...stay home. Kids don't belong in Las Vegas. Come back when you're of age and can enjoy the place and not have to worry about getting into trouble because you're too young.

Las Vegas takes the underage thing VERY SERIOUSLY....

Ummmm.....Not smart kid. I work in 3 top las vegas nightclubs and I can tell you at least 10 kids are taken away by metro along with their fake id a week, you see we let you in and right away radio for metro give you a special stamp that lets security, the bartender and waitresses know your under 21. Once metro is onsite you are escorted to the front door and into waiting arms. Remember just cause you passed the doorman doesnt mean your home free, We'll let you in, take your $30 cover, you'll get taken away by metro, spend a night, and get a fine. Is it worth it? i think not, go on vacation to place take caters to under 21 like orlando,fl.

At the clubs, it seems like there are still a lot of under age girls. I think if your a girl you can get away with it easier than a guy. Especially if your a hot girl. If you like to party and be under 21, the best place is TJ, Baha California.

Crap! I left my crossdressing hotpants at the dry cleaners! Looks like I'll be playing it safe this trip. I got a helluva good deal so it's not like I'm not going to go, but I do want to have some fun. Anything fun for us poor minors?!?!

I do not know if there are clubs for the 18 to under 21 crowd, but the arcade might be your only choice.

My advice is to stop watching National Lampoon's Vegas Vacation... It is not a true story
