Frys is good for computer components and hard to find electronics. But I did buy my LCD from there and had no problems. I've been shopping at Frys since I was a kid, the first store was in Sunnyvale, CA and we use to go in there because it was the only store that sold floppy disks cheap. The return policy is more strict than most stores. They have good bargains if you look at their weekly advertisement.

This is the San Jose, CA page, but it also pertains to the store in Las Vegas on most items.

About a year ago, I bought a Sharp LCD from Fry's on line----listed as in stock. It took about 6 weeks to be delivered, picture, tuner, and graphics are superb, only problem was the low frequency was distorted, no big deal, as I hooked it up to my stereo system. I saved about 20% over comparable makes, I am very sastisfied. From what I hear, only Sharp, Sony, and Samsung have the trident chip----I don't know what it does, but the Sharp LCD is excellent.

I bought a Sharp Aquos from Frys because they had the lowest price in Vegas. At the time Sharp was also throwing in a free Blu Ray Player.

I tried to price match it a Best Buy, but Best Buy said I would not get the Blu Ray player if they did that. I said why not Sharp is giving away the Blu Ray Player not Best Buy. I said I want to speak to a manager. The manager also said no Blu Ray Player, so I said no sale a left.

The TV is great, and I had no issues dealing with Frys.

if they had it at Fry's, why did you try to price match it at Best Buy?

you knew they had it there...
