Apparently. And our "Johnny on the Spot" Review Journal hasn't chosen to report why. (Some advertiser probably wants them to hold off on the story.)

My guess is that they're missing a required permit -- probably something federal that they couldn't just pay off the local corrupt bureaucrat. (And don't have the money to buy influence from the local corrupt senator.)

Or, perhaps they simply ran out of money.

Who knows. But the valley needs another unfinished project grinning like a skull down on the strip like it needs a big earthquake.

The guy responsible for the whole thing is a crook. He hasn't paid the construction contractor and has runoff with the investor money.

Unless it supports Republicans running for office or rips the Metro PD, it doesn't run in the R-J.

Oh no. I read Damania link. I was so excited about the project. I hope they can get it back on track. It was an awesome idea.

Prison labor, and he neglected to pay them. Fabulous. Remind me to never ride the thing if it ever gets built

That's been my experience with the R-J as well. They are laughably biased.

The hazards of desperate people so desperate for work. Go check Craigslist, General labor, and see the warnings of those hiring today.

"Avoid doing work for Michelle Harris. All her checks bounce!"

"Did a ton of electrical work for so and so, never got paid!"

"Worked at this particular place, didn't get paid, check bounced!"

Perhaps, they'll get some hard-up suckers from Greece or Spain (25% unemployment rate) to come over and finish it.

I have not changed my stance Skyvue has a 50/50 chance of making it.

There are just too many "ifs" in a row like dominoes - and if any of 'em fall the whole project tumbles. The greatest danger to Skyvue's future is simply the financial aspect. The competition (Linq/Caesars) has deep pockets whereas the people behind Skyvue are literally on the verge of bankruptcy week to week.

To add to the doom and gloom, Skyvue will have to be a raging success right from its opening to even survive the first 6 months of operation. Again, Linq will not have that problem. Caesars can afford to be patient and let Linq lose money for a few years while building market acceptance.
