When I first came here in the 60's I was always a good tipper because I believed that not only would I get better service (a mistake a lot of people make), but these poor people depended on tips for their living. Then in the 70's I got a job where I made tips so I always made sure I gave great service, and I got zilch most of the time. The other casino employees were the worst tippers of all yet I know many of them were making good tips themselves. So now, if I get good service I tip, if I don't feel I need to, I don't, and if the service is really bad I might leave a "message"...as in a penny tip, or I might even complain to management for all the good it does. But this crap about these poor tip earners really needing it makes me laugh. For much of my life in Las Vegas I made less than most tip earners, and probably worked harder, but I still handed out tips I couldn't afford. The casinos are getting away with murder by not paying good wages and expecting the customers to pay their employees for them. I don't believe I'm responsible for their salaries.
