As long as the lady has copies of paperwork. It is a valid debt, and will go on their credit report.

I've disputed collections before that were not my fault. I sold a car in CA to someone and mailed my release of liability. 6 months later, I get a bill for the car being impounded after it had numerous parking tickets in San Fran. I disputed it with the towing company, collection agency and all 3 credit companies. 30 days later it was off my credit report.

see it's easy.. takes a bit of time, but not hard at all.. the trick is with the pesky collection agencies.. palisades, ncc, etc

The rental contract. The tenant would have to show that they paid the rent, or what ever they owe for. Just like a company.

A couple of months ago, I had a company contact me regarding a phone bill from like 11 years ago for my husband. They did not have anything but one bill that stated a previous balance, but not for what, could not even show me a copy of the contract, but they still were able to send the info to an agency.

yes, again a company, AND if you disputed it on your report, it would be taken off for lack of validation

I Know LOL. But what I was saying is that companies barly supply anything for the agency. But we would take individual items, if they had contracts in place with the debtor.

Actually I did write to get it off.....2 times already. It seems to find its way back on every so often. I notice it is back again. When you write to have something removed from your credit, the credit agency contacts the creditor and if they do not answer in 30 days then by law the debt must be removed from the debtors credit report. It usually works.

or write to the collection agency to demand validation, if they dont answer within 30 days.. send the certified info to the credit bureau.. if the credit bureau validates the debt, they much show you how it was validated..... creditboards is the way to go...... about 6 yrs ago, i had a load of bad debt and a score around 500, after much disputing, for about 4yrs, i have no baddies and my score has been in the high700s... of course, now i am very careful about my credit.... i also learned that the higher the credit LIMIT (not what you've spent) is important too... Used to go to AMEX site and log in... ask for credit increase.. (if an app comes up, they will ding your credit with a inquiry - so do not proceed).. otherwise go for it... went from $1500 to current $45000 limit in 3yrs. of course, i barely use the card.. if i had 30k on the card, i couldn't sleep at night
