Can anyone who lives in Vegas please tell me about these apartments? My fiance and I are moving to Vegas in a month, and have been searching for either a furnished apartment or a weekly extended stay type hotel. I know that Siegel Suites has alot of different properties, but the ones I called were anywhere from $200-$300 a week. I saw a listing on Craigslist.org for apartments called Sierra Park Apartments on Sierra Vista drive, 557 Sierra Vista Dr at Swenson & Paradise. They don't do leases, its month to month, cable is included, utilities are already on in the property name, you just pay for your unit's bill. It says there are located on the east side near Wynn, Hilton, and the Strip. Does anyone live there or know someone that lives there than can give some information as far as safety? Or can anyone tell me if any of the Siegel Suites are in a good/safe area? The apartments were about $575 for a studio, or $650 for a 1 bedroom. If it comes down to safety and feeling comfortable, I will pay the extra money to stay in a safer area of Siegel Suites. My credit is bad, so I can't go to any apartment places that check credit, so this is my only options. Please help me stay safe!!

STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THAT HOOD AS YOU CAN AFFORD. Not kidding, that is one of the worst places in town. Its cheap for a reason. You might want to stay where you are, if you can, and rebuild your credit. No place you can attain in Vegas on bad credit will be in a safe neighborhood.

Crack alley is what they call it.That Alphabet city, and spotted areas of NLV are bad but this area is so shady it's not even funny.MR77 said it right,"STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THAT HOOD AS YOU CAN AFFORD"For a little more you might can find some decent dwellings about 2 miles south.(East of Maryland/South of Trop)

89109 was at one time the most dangerous zip in town, and that particular part of it was the worst. I don't know if it is still the most crime ridden statistically, but it is at least 2nd or 3rd. Do not rent there unless you like to live dangerously. The further west of there and the Strip the better. East of there you'll probably find cheaper apts too but for the same reason.

why not check out the emerald suites, crestwood suites, extended stays, or budget suites, especially on the South Strip, i don't know what the price is, but its at least a little bit better...i don't think siegel suites has any locations where they can say that someone hasn't jumped off the second floor, except of course if it isn't 2 story...

In years past, Sierra Vista was an "open air" drug market. This is NO longer the case. In fact a new LVMPD substation will soon open at Sierra Vista and Swenson. Much worse is Meadows Village, and Twain and Swenson. Fact is, any "extended stay" property is home for prostitutes and drug dealers.

Default Gangs

If you google Sierra Vista online, the first thing that comes up is the Sierra Vista Gang or two. I say - NO - live elsewhere.

I was on an EMS call there once - with the SWAT team. Think twice - then think twice more.
