I have been here in Vegas for about 2.5 months and I've been having a great time. My girlfriend lives in California still so we talk often and visit often. But besides that, I've been taking Boxing and Jiu-Jitsu classes at Xtreme Couture and I've meet a lot of cool people there. It's my opinion that you should just find things that you are interested in, and go do it. If your out there by yourself trying to hook up with chicks, you might come across as a stocker type.

Haha no I don't plan on standing at the local gas station late night trying to hit on girls lol

Well the OP has been answered so thanks for all your replies esp buzz bc his answer really gave me a good perspective of the culture and how different it is than where I live ie getting girls in the mall.

Also it helped me understan my encounter with the girl who did my tattoo

Thanks again

Anyway I'm glad this question is settled. You know now that I think about it the lady that did my tattoo in LV was super talkitive, friendly, and nice. It really caught me off guard bc from where I'm from people who don't know each other don't really talk. As I was paying the cashier guy was like "did you pull her number? She's single." she was right there and just laughed and looked away kind of shyly. I laughed and went about my day. But now that I hear you can meet girls in the mall it just hit maybe she wouldve liked to go on a date? At the time I did not think that. I thought it was just a joke bc over here it's just not how things work.

Dude, seriously? I'm sitting here reading this whole thread, and about to go hit my head against the wall... what is the big deal?? You are looking WAY TOO MUCH into all of this. I'm sure you will not have any problem meeting anyone once you come out here. And if you don't meet anyone within the first week, it's NO BIG DEAL.

For what it's worth, people in Vegas are absolutely nicer than whereever you are coming from (which you still have not answered after being asked 5 times); be that as it may, you will probably be very surprised at how nice people are around town; everything from holding open doors to asking if you need assistance in the markets...

From what I gather, you're young, going to be in school, involved with stuff at UNLV... you aren't going to have a problem being around people. Just be social, and don't expect everything to just fall in yoru lap. You might actually need to do a little bit of work for it.

I've never had a problem meeting people in Vegas, and believe me, I'm a helluva lot more shy and introverted as many people may think!

It is hard to find "good" friends in Las Vegas. This is a great city for meeting people. The problem I have run into is finding sincere people. With many people coming to Las Vegas to get away from their problems in their home city.....most people end up dragging their problems here. With the city being full of transient people it hard to find sincere friends that are loiing term. The long term friends that Ihave here I hold onto like family because they are few and far between. We should have a meet and greet some time to meet everyone from this site. I am sure we will have an interesting time

Narrowing down my guesses as to where he is from, I'm going with either Austria or The Hamptons.
