the last 2 months i've seen it go down hill fast maybe cus alot of the Plumbers there charge so much careless who they hurt.

i stayed with the price book and i was let go.. but the others who charged whatever they wanted stayed..

now im guessing im going to do it on the side on Craigslist. alot of people are hurting and need a brake from the mad cost of plumbing in NV.

I know an plumber who has his own business and he is swamped. He does give good prices compared to the other "bigger" companies. I do the same, but for pool service. When you have a smaller company, your costs are lower and you can charge lower prices. I have a business plan of Volume vs. initial profit. I usually have to work more and harder, but I get the referals and repeat business. People these days want to get their money's worth

Default The media is not helping

Perhaps if the media would stop panicking the public with so many stories filled with gloom and doom people would relax and start spending money again.

We all know we are going through rough times. The media needs to give it a rest. They are pumping fear into people and that is snowballing the entire crisis.

Yes, they need to report what is going on, but they are capitalizing on the recession and in turn making it worse.

Before the election, I think a lot of them did that so as to portray Republicans and W in as bad a light as possible so they could swing things in Obama's favor. That succeeded. Now, I think they are trying to ratchet down expectations and buy him some time. Someone told me that, the day after the election, the NYT had an article about how bad the economy is and how nobody can fix it that fast. The more they say the economy is bad, the more leeway they can extend to Obama. Once things turn around (which they would regardless of who won), they'll be very generous with giving him credit for it.

That is pretty much nonsense. Obama has a free ride...blame it on Bush...until the midterm election. If things are not looking up by then the Demos wil be in trouble. He has to have it going reasonably positive in the last two and he gets reelected.

Makes no difference what the media says. It is the climate and view of the country that decides.

If it was up to the media we would be getting ready to inaugurate Hilary.

Default From bad to worse

Las Vegas visitation down 10.2 percent in October

&

Gaming revenues fall 22.3 percent in October

This just proves that LV is headed for the dumps.

Bring on the 99 cents, steak and eggs! I'll even leave a 15% tip like the old kogers in Laughlin. LOL.

Really, gotta love that 99cent steak and eggs. Some things are coming way down, I could not believe my hubby paid $1.63 for gas today, when just a couple of months ago we were paying over $4.00. If the utilities would go down, I would be in heaven!
