I miss the South and the wonderful Christmas plays, displays and celebrations. Does anywhere around Vegas, in the mountains or somewhere a person can feel like they are in the Christmas season. I want eggnog, wassel or hot buttered rum and apple cider. Plus hear wonderful singers or something.

Tell me where I can find anything but lights on houses. First season here.

And for a little more adult version with warm beverages and snow get thee up to the Lodge at Mount Charleston.

Have dinner before Christmas at Lawry's. Great prime rib. Good drinks and a couple of very competent caroling quartets.

I was in West Virginia over the weekend, and I checked out some cool Nativity scenes. I couldn't help but notice that the three wise men were dressed like Firemen. I inquired about this, and they looked at me like I was crazy and said "well the Bible says they came from "afar"." Happy holidays!

Wassel iis a beverage served hot in cold country like the south. Yikes it sounds like I might as well go to the casino and hope to see some red nosed drunk. I want to wear gloves and a coat and see cheery people running about. Oh crap that is Miracle on 34th street isn't it.

But I will go to the Christmas Village and just curious if I drive to St George is that more Chrismaseee

Is this really a Baa Humbug area? Sounds like no one here gets the traditional feeling of Christmas. Ok I know what can be said - go home and find it. I would in a minute but the job is here and I appear to be stuck in Vegas which personally I find rather dreary and boring unless a person is a gambler which I m really not. It feels so land locked and well not somewhere I want to be forever. but I do appreciate all you nice people have contributed. I like the last guy''s joke will e-mail that out tomorrow.

Went to Ethel M's the other night. No snow of course, but I thought it was decorated very nice. Plus, I loved seeing all the different cacti.

More than anything, I loved that I did not have to be shivering, freezing and running through it to get back to the warm car. That is how I saw most Christmas thingies in Michigan. I really would have liked to enjoy them more but I was way too cold.

Spring Preserves has some holiday thing too, don't they?
