You don't see sand storms very often now that the whole valley has been paved over, but I remember once in the 60's I was in the Stardust when a really bad one came up. It was so bad they locked the doors and wouldn't let anyone go out. Even with the doors closed, you couldn't see more than halfway across the casino. When it ended I went out and opened my car door which had been locked, with all the windows rolled up tight. I still had to scoop sand out before I could get in. The seats had at least a half inch covering of it and I didn't want to sit in sand.

Whoa these aren't that crazy...any threesome stories like I was walking down the strip and two girls grabbed me and took me to their room (ok maybe not that crazy but similar). Or like I got so high I fell over and didn't wake up for a week? Or I had a one night stand bla bla bla etc. I don't know those seem way more crazy to me. Is this stuff not considered crazy?

OK, since your mind is in the gutter.
When I was directing a television commercial one time for the Stardust Hotel, they sent over a showgirl to be in the spot. She actually showed up with my next door neighbor who was a male dancer in the Lido show. And no he wasn't like
that , he had a wife and kids, so I decided not to ask him why he was "helping" the showgirl (obviously what we called back then a no good chippy broad. Ha, ha.). Anywho, they came storming into the studio with costumes, etc., and didn't ask where's the dressing room. She just stood there in the middle of the studio in front of the whole crew, stripped down to nuthin, with my neighbor helping her of course, and she put on the showbroad outfit. We suddenly had more people on the crew than I remembered needing that day.
I miss that bizness.

thats pretty cool. im sure all the guys liked that. my mind maybe in the gutter but thats why im coming to vegas! hehe

Another time, we did a spot at Channel 3 for a wig shop with a beautiful young thing wearing only her birthday suit. The idea of the spot was to shoot a naked broad...I mean a nice young lady... in silhouette, and tag it with the line "the only thing she is wearing is the wig". Naturally we took all day to shoot this thing, but only because we wanted to get it just right.
Just to be sure, the engineers set up a second camera and isolated it to a second tape machine for back up just in case of technical problems with the first camera. For some reason that one wasn't in silhouette though, it was in full living color. Cue the peacock.
The finished product was a thing of beauty to a bunch of horny, young, production guys. But alas, it ran on only the air one time. The station got so many complaints from old ladies that it was pulled immediately from any more airings.
I don't know why they complained. You couldn't really see anything on the tape. Besides the young lady had brought along an older woman as a chaperone.

Very good input and stories by all..... i agree with lexusman, i thought there would be a lot more stories about sexuality and the like.... but it appears you have just gotten Buzz started now, haha. Anyways, keep the crazy stories comming... good work all.

If you were to visit Southeast Asia....Thailand for example, you'd see it and have it happen about as often as you'd see a person buy a coke from a vending machine - meaning very, very, commonplace.

Drinking a 40 with a bum in an alley
Well i will add my first. It was my first night in Vegas during my first trip. It was about 5 or 6 AM and everyone else from my party had passed out. I was pretty "loose" and was walking up the strip with a 40 of Colt just taking in some sites. As you all know, 6 AM in Vegas looks very similar to 6 PM or any other time. Anyways, a bum who was sitting in the edge of an alley spotted me and we was also drinking a 40 of Colt. Long story short, we sat in the alley and drank our malt liquor and exchanged funny stories not appropriate for this board. Quite an experience and one i laugh about now.
