I've been very lazy for awhile...i'm just sending lots of reps without signing or filling them out. So if you all get a lot of blank ones, thank me!
Thanks to you both.

You're welcome, Buzz. I caught this clip over on CNN. A plane went into a snow bank in Albany, NY.

Wow. Got nothing better to do in NYC than pick on other cities and the way they do things? They should be out driving around in all that snow.

Who really cares if they had a day off? They never get one. Last year in MI we had at least 4 snow/ice/cold days. Michigan sissys.

Default Re:

Ironically, the OP was visiting Buffalo at the time, and upon mocking Nevada for 3 inches of snow...not realizing some areas received more, he failed to mention that the Buffalo area schools closed a day prior with forecasts predicting up to 10 inches of snow. Most areas only received 6 inches, so I guess what goes around, comes around. Even the most prepared snow city, cannot predict what Mother Nature will actually bring.

It's crazy what a little snow can do when people aren't prepared. Even if we had been prepared for it, we live in a desert and get a white Christmas maybe once every 30 years..why not give the kids a snow day?

this topic has been talked to death and it doesn't even seem like the OP cares anymore to check up on it...

And none of that "we're unprepared" stuff. 3 inches is NOTHING on the road. We've had multiple feet on the roads and people go to work, people go to the store, people go for a jog, people go icefishing, people even have barbecues in the snow. The Buffalo, NY area is supposed to get over a foot of snow tomorrow... Check www.wgrz.com tomorrow and see if they close a lot of schools... I guarantee you that only a few if any will be closed... White out conditions, ice, and everything. Schools out there will more than likely be open.

Snow day for 3 inches give me a break what is the world coming to?
Ya, complain about our 3 inches of itty bitty snow. But I remember every summer when its 120 here in Las Vegas, we dont complain about it. Its life. But when it gets to a 100 (or even a weak 90 degree day) in New Yawk Ciiity, people are dying in the streets and kids are busting open fire hydrants and running around in their underwear for relief. Calling for Excessive heat Advisories were all women, children and elderly should hide in their homes and prey, that they wont be consummed in the fire of a warm day.

Our county is one of the largest in the United States. It is the size of the state of Vermont. It is the size of New Hampshire. It dwarfs Massachusetts. BUT WE HAVE NO EQUIPMENT. WE DON'T NEED NO STINKIN EQUIPMENT except for one stinkin day every five years. That's when we take the day off, have our annual hot chocolate, and read a book, by our decorative gas log fireplace that we pretend gives us warmth even when we seldom ever need more heat. GET OVER IT. IT'S OUR BUSINESS.

No 3 inches isn't deep. That's the problem. It isn't deep enough to cover the slick blacktop underneath. It only makes it slicker. And can you imagine laying down a layer of sand on our thousands of miles of roads, and then the next day the wind comes up? JEEZ. Ever seen a desert sandstorm? Lay your camels down in the sand and pull your blanket over you like Lawrence of Arabia. Maybe they'll find your body before you suffocate.

Dude, you don't know anything about cities in the desert. Let it go. Go down on toity toid and toid and mug a tourist or something.
Always funny and hilarious as always. 2 points for you.
