OK, I know everybody is struggling trying to find work but I think this City Center is not going to pan out, except for a few completely randomly picked applicants.

I myself haven’t been e-mailed for a 2nd interview but after reading these past few posts about all the well qualified people they have blown off, I can honestly say that I will no longer hold my breath for this boondoggle of a hotel complex.

From the articles that have been posted, the City Center financial situation is absolutely dreadful. They probably won’t even open until mid 2010.

Thank you City Center. You are the well-deserved laughing stock of the Las Vegas service industry. What *******s.

According to citycentercareers.com website......the EVENTS link.......department interviews are by email,if selected, they email us.
The email invite interview gives us directions on how to schedule an appointment for the department interview.
Here's where i'm confused......! No where on the citycentercareers.com website does it say they will call us for an department interview.
Vegas locals.....i can understand why they would call you,but....it does not say that on citycentercareers.com website!.

you are correct... i must have missed the email... i found it now... the email was sent one week prior to them calling... email did not say citycenter in the title so i just blew it off...

No it isn't. They are doing the hiring process in a very smart, orderly manner. Considering an estimated 10,000 jobs are open (although half of them will be filled by employees from other MGM props and laid off workers) do you know how many have applied?

Last report on Channel 3 last week showed almost 100,000 people have applied for jobs at City Center, from all over the WORLD! This is unprecedented, no place has this many job openings at one time and this huge of a response. So many people want to work at City Center and re-locate to Las Vegas, it's mind boggling!

I have a friend of mine who works in the hiring center for CC, she said they are swamped with the amount of applicants that have responded with more coming in every day.

Congratualtions to anyone here who does get a position at CC, you have beat out a lot of competitors from all over!

When will ALL the hiring department managers post the department interview times for their department? I understand CC is going through alot, and have a positive attitude in all this, but is there a delay?

Wrong again jfk, in the past, when casinos got in trouble, the first thing they did was sell properties. These times are no different...
