26 cents on the Dollar, of its 08-2005 price. A non-converted condo. I'm suppose to close in three weeks; I'll give more details then. I certainly got a lot of help from this forum. Thanks to everyone.

My final choices were Las Vegas and Phoenix (had eliminated Northern California, earlier). Less heat in the Summer was a factor, and the availability of good 24 hour entertainment, even if I only will use it once or twice a month. It is also very easy to get flights back East to see my family.

I know there is some doom and gloom right now, but we may start to see some light at the end of the tunnel, and I don't think it's going to be an oncoming train. Most things are cyclical, and the cycle will be upward, soon.

Isla is a conversion with high fees. Nice, though. The one I was 2000 apart on was accepted, but was found to have extensive water damage.

I have to keep some information close to the vest, until I close.

That is 6K less than I would have thought. Good job.

Nice job! And I though I was getting a good deal getting at 35 cents on the dollar off of the 2005 price! Hope to close end of the month too. 89147 for me. Getting the place at 17K off the price of the next door unit, also REO, that closed in mid December 2008! Move in condition, all appliances convey!

I'm glad to hear people are getting good deals! I'm also glad that people that couldn't afford anything back in 2005, can now buy something they can call theirs. Congrats guys!
