Point out where I am "losing". You tell me crime doesn't exist everywhere. I'll show you Las Vegas crime map that shows otherwise. I've already made my points and used valid references. Don't partially quote me and we won't have a problem.

I only see two people "arguing" with me. It's a continuation from others.

I see you want either want the last word or you want to be right, even if you aren't.
For your information, where I live, we have low crime. Sure, we have people stealing cars once in awhile, a few burglaries from people leaving their garage doors open just a little...inviting crime. A couple of domestic disurbances now and then and kids getting into trouble. That also happens all over the nation.
We also have a couple of North las vegas police officers moving into the community because they like how nice it is over here. They say there isn't a lot of crime in the Aliante area, in fact, it's mainly a little north of Craig in some spots.
Did you even look at Olecapts crime maps? You should.

Have a great weekend chi. I do not want to argue. I like joking around and laughing as much as possible, and this thread is nowhere near that.

Fair enough to me. Where's the link for those maps? My area is similar to yours on the west end of town. It's technically crime but it's obviously not violent crime. It's what I was trying to say by saying crime occurs to some degree everywhere. Believe it or not, flamefests aren't my usual preference.

I'll give you the last word here.

Here you go...

Crime in Las Vegas

Your thesis on school performance is not reasonable. The raw product into the schools in a high socio-economic level community is simply different than that in a major urban school district. The schools located in the upper level neighborhoods will be quite as good as the suburban district...but the district as a whole will not get close. School qualitiy correlates most closely with the income level of the parents.

Of course the beltway schools are going to perform better. Any teacher in the district will tell you the same. It's tied in with crime, economic and family situation. I agree with you on the that statement.

In Chicago where there are many Catholic/private schools. The public school system actually gets the worst of the worst in the city limits. Therefore their numbers are even worse. So the Chicago Public School System actually fares much worse because there are more private schools for people to attend around town. The ratio of public/private school are much higher there. Parents usually won't drive their kids across town to get to Gorman. So I still believe that a lesser private school ratio comes into play in LV.

Have a good weekend.
