I am wondering whether anyone has seen a firm statement about whether or not seat belts were available on the bus that crashed in Arizona, killing seven Chinese Tourists? I have seen conflicting statements but no real evidence.

As far as today's paper is reporting, the cause of the accident is still unknown as well.

Terrible thing to happen

Sounds like the driver's door started to open and the bus driver lost control. No seat belts for passengers :-(

could it be that all the occupants ran to one side of the bus too quickly to get a first glimpse look at The Hoover Dam? (serious question) I imagine that that could possibly cause an unexpected swerving.

I am telling you, buses give me the willys when they turn. Half the time they take a curb out and it looks as if they are going to tip or lose control.

That said, I don't think Chinese people weigh enough to cause that.

Tragic.

Have you ever seen a bus filled with Chinese tourists??? They jam-pack them in there. If normal occupancy is 90 passengers...they'll pack about 217 in there!
