I can't sleep sitting/standing up though :\

Have you seen this video? Quietrock actually seems pretty promising...

I've decided the second option is probably the easiest/most cost effective...even if it costs me $5000, I don't care. I'll GLADLY pay $5000 to sleep in peace and quiet at night knowing I'm not going to be jarred awake at any moment by giant dogs/drunken trashy neighbors/whatever. I can't tell you how many nights I've laid awake listening to those things while fantasizing about encapsulating my entire bedroom with concrete blocks.

And then there's this: http://www.amazon.com/Relaxman-Relaxation-Capsule/dp/B0006MWV86/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1322084938&sr=8-1 (broken link)
A coffin would be cheaper.

Just reading through the comments on the Quietrock vids on Youtube, it's obvious that this is not a rare complaint.

This video had me completely sold on Quietrock until I noticed there's a giant gaping HOLE in the wall at 4:32 which magically disappears when they retest the noise levels at 7:04, leading me to believe the entire thing is bunk:

I want to bump this thread to find out what's currently going on at Park Avenue? I've been sitting on the sidelines watching for prices to bottom out, and it appears they have...suddenly the inventory has diminished and prices have shot up $10k-$20k on many of the units I'm not sure if this is a false bottom (banks holding back foreclosures) or not. I'm assuming all the construction litigation is a thing of the past now? Are lenders finally willing to give mortgages for Park Ave? And I'd still love to hear from anyone who actually lives there about how the noise levels are--specifically the sound transference between units. Any and all info is appreciated. Thanks!!
