I could make more on unemployment than working at McDonalds, unfortunately there is no way for Aqua to get UE until he hits the road

Hey Aqua, if you can, check up on the "gigs" section of Craigslist and see if there is any temporary work you can do to earn some cash in the mean time

He should try working at McDonalds. Like Tazz said, any work is better than no work. Plus, I sure hope he keeps the job once he gets it and doesn't end up on UE forever like some people. It's time for him to go out into the world and live by himself for once. Be independent, it's good for the soul.

The UE benefit is $393 a week isnt it?

McDonalds pays $8.25 an hour, and if you are LUCKY to get 40 hours a week (only MGMT people at McDonalds do) that would be $330 a week before taxes, so actually you could make more on UE, maybe I couldnt but surely some others who had actual jobs than got laid off could

But even managers at McDonald's only make about $10-$12 an hour

Um $393 is the max benefit. Not everybody collects $393. Your weekly benefit depends on the amount you have available in the system divided by 26.

Yes, about $100 a month.

Water trash and sewer combined by the apt complex is $50 a month, gas was $95 for the first month

Surprisingly as cool as we keep the thermostat, and all the cooking, and clothes washing we do, our electric bill is the same as it was for our studio apartment which was 1/2 the size
