Both correct.

We were hopeful the parade would take off & build on last year; instead, it seemed poorly organized & the participants were not very interesting. The pacing was weird; a group would move through, then there would be 5 minutes of dead time & we thought it was over, only to see another float or group of people appear. It reminded me of an accordion-style stop-and-go traffic jam.

Last year, there was a large group of dancers doing the 'Thriller' dance continuously. Hugely entertaining. There were other entertaining floats and/or groups of people. This year, phhhfffft. Bummer.

Fremont Street WAS packed, so we spent some time there, but overall it was a disappointment compared to last year. I hope somebody takes the reins & builds the parade into a quality, well organized event. We were certainly hopeful after last year.

^^That is exactly what I was told-very unorganized, delays etc. I had an idea of what would be in the parade & didn't seem very interesting that is why I didn't go. Too bad- if it's done next year I hope it's done right.

Are you away from it longer than 6 mos? Just have all the mail sent to your primary residence?

Just got back home a few hours ago from LV, I'm missing the sunshine already. Had a
great two weeks, can't wait till next time. I actually won at BJ for a change! Saw some
shows, Mike Hammer at the Four Queens was funny, and Judy did her usual pilgrimage to
Barry Manilow. We tried some grits for the first time - it was OK!! Played cards at all the
usual class joints - The Western, Longhorn, California and of course, my beloved El Cortez!!
Even got to meet a couple of you people off this LV chat thread - you know who you are -
thanks for taking the trouble to come to chat to me. I'm missing LV already, does'nt help
that it's pouring with rain here!!!

I've just read through the last two weeks on the thread to see whats been going on while
I've been away. A real mixed bag from call girls to cowboy dogs!! I think I saw Aqua and his
wife on the strip, we'd been to a show at Paris, they were outside Ballys. Talking of people
on Fremont in costume, has anyone seen the lady with the enormous boobs posing for
photos? I only gave her a quick glance as I thought they were stick on fakes. Judy said they
were real, so I gave her another look. By the chringe, you did'nt get many of those to the
pound!!
