I used to lurk on a lawyer's website. They called that Righthaven guy (Steven something?) a douche in about 400 different ways. It was funny. They even called him out on the can of Pledge in his office.

Found it-

Wild Wild Law: Legal Antics and Jurisprudence in Nevada: Sidebar: Fair Use

I enjoyed that blog and I'm sorry it went away.

It's an insect catching the light over a longer than normal exposure (which makes sense because the lens requires a longer exposure to get a decent image in the evening.)

No such thing as ghosts, sorry.

so its a bee or a bird, flying against the ground and then doing a 180° arc curve and flying at the camera?

I'm not so quick to dismiss it. I personally haven't had any experience with ghosts but I've had some good friends who have.
After looking at the other thread, the pics, the attempt to debunk it, and the history of the house my assumption would be that the man who killed himself really enjoyed the pool.
Was the pool there when he lived there? Or is it a new addition?

Yes. Most likely a moth. The "ghost" talk is complete and utter nonsense.
