I'm in Vegas for the next week or two. What's the best sushi joint around here?

Seriously though, at least you probably don't have to wait for the machines you want to use. That was one of my biggest problems with my old gym. They just didn't have enough cardio equipment to go around, so I'd stop in after work and end up staying much longer than I wanted to. It was hard to stay motivated when I knew that as soon as I was done, I needed to rush home and make dinner for the kids, make sure homework was done, etc.
I also workout at 5:30 am. Kickboxing. I prefer the early classes because it gets it out of the way for the day. I get up at 5, so on work days its really only an hour early.

Coincidentally, I was watching some of that movie earlier this afternoon on TCM.

I remember going to see it at the movie theater when I was 8 or 9. I think that is when I first became enamored with Las Vegas.

And Ann-Margret for that matter!

Yeah, so did Elvis.

Holy crap...Chicago has 12 murders already for 2013. They may best their last year's rate of 500.

Chicago's 2013 Murder Rate Outpacing 2012's: Chicagoist

Holy Moley. And we get people moving here from Chicago who are worried about our crime rate?

Speaking of people moving here, has anyone else noticed an uptick in people who want to move here and are looking for things that basically don't exist in Las Vegas or are pretty dang hard to find?

Good, safe neighborhood where you can walk to the strip.

Green, hippie vibe area.

Places where you can walk everywhere or rely on public transportation (that's do-able, but it would be misery in summer).

Cheap place to live near a good school.

It kind of makes me pine for the old Henderson or Summerlin threads.

Whoa...slow down there. These new threads are not that bad.

Maybe instead of a hippie-green type neighborhood, how about a hippie-green casino hotel?

Think folks would go for it? Somewhere downtown. Start with the Golden Nugget.

It's not that the threads are bad, it's that it's harder to help when people are looking for thing like that.

Pretty pic, BTW. I've been wanting to make a trip out to the Nugget for some time. I want to slide on the wates slide that goes through the shark tank.
