For your mouth to God's ears! Right now I'm ready to pass out. I've been chatting online with a new friend from Cairo. He's looking to get a work visa here in the US.

This will definitely, absolutely shake things up here! And then you'll soon grow satiated with all those related posts:

Was there much damage in your area of town? What were you doing when it happened, posting on city-data.com? How many were going to the bathroom when it happened and what was it like as the water beneath you swished back and forth in the toilet bowl? Did you see the Stratosphere Tower sway back and forth and did you see someone panic and jump?

Are you ready for that?
Over here in Indiana we can be hit by any size earthquake according to Geo and Seismologists. We have the New Madrid Fault line going through our area of the country. They say it's more deadly than the San Andreas in California but little is understood about the fault line here because it's not visible like the SA and is not as active. Last year we had a 6.7 earthquake that didn't do a whole lot of damage here because most structures are "earthquake resistant" They do say that we may be hit by a earthquake 7.0+ sometime in the next 50 years. I still remember the day that earthquake struck. My building was shaking like crazy. The New Madrid Fault line has had earthquakes of 7.9--8.1 and 8.3 before.

My first day with Desert Cab finished earlier today, and so far, so good. I stayed awake, filled out all of my paperwork, and have my ride along tomorrow morning. If all goes well, I'll be out on the street on Tuesday. They pay daily in cash, so it'll be nice to have money coming in steadily. I'm almost out of my settlement money. ^_^;

The kids have always eaten before I have. I'd sooner starve before they had to go without. They miss having the space to run around in, but they do love the AC.

Default Just wanted to say, "Good Bye Las Vegas!!"

Wow what a journey. 6 years ago, I moved from the bay area to Las Vegas. I was so excited. I purchased a home and moved the family. Everything was going great until a year and a half ago. Things in our area starting slowing down. Property stop selling. Up to the present time, my home lost 50% of its value. I lost my job and had to make some life changing decisions. I decided to moved the family back to the bay area because I was offered a job. Pay is great, $90,000 yr. Way better than the 45,0000 I was making in Vegas. As I write this, I am enjoying 65 degrees weather. I do miss Vegas but I know Vegas will ever be the same even if the recession comes to an end.

Good Luck People of Las Vegas.

Hope you don't loose your job in the bay area because umemployment is also very high and cost of living is also high. Even in a diverse economy (around 12%). Good luck!
