"Thanks for applying, but we've decided not to hire you. Have some free Cinestix on us with your next order." I'm going to order from them? Yeah, right...

Well that sucks, who wants those ketchup covered pieces of cardboard anyways. When your rent is due, tell the property mananger your plight. They may waive the late charges to help you out. Also find out if you will qualify for Jobconnect to pay for a LVPD guard card. I see alot of part time security positions in the job listings.

Tell me about it. Besides, I'm very lactose intolerant as it is. I practically have to drink a whole bottle if WalMart brand Immodium if I want to eat a pizza, and I'm not wasting it on one of theirs. The rental office knows that I'm not working, and will only let me be late only by so much. They charge a butt load of late fees, and start the eviction process if I'm too late. That's why I took out the title loan on my truck. I thought that I'd be able to find another job before the loan was due. Sigh... Still, my truck does cost $60 to fill, and gets 300 miles, if I take the highways. I was talking to a couple of Western drivers, and they said that they're hiring. I'll get a new DMV printout, and go check them on Tuesday.

Aqualung,

I am curious what has happened with your truck. I remember you saying you have until October 25, which is tomorrow, to pay the title note. Did you manage to work out a deal with your sister's husband's coworker? Nobody on here wants to see you lose your truck to that title loan place.

He paid the title loan back by one month. Early next month, he's giving me the money for my rent, and probably pushing back the title loan by another month. After that, he's paying off the title loan, and making payments to me. We're not going to trade vehicles until the title is clear.

I'm happy to hear that. That's the way it should go down. Now if you can just find a job, life might get easier.

Yeah, that's the hard part. I get the feeling that people take one look at my application, then throw it in the garbage.

Maybe you need some help with the application process. For example, do you list your most recent jobs with the cab companies?
