Thanks, Olecapt. I would say 850 is still a bargain.

At the moment the bottom is 950...The cheaper ones only last a couple of days. Note though that if you find a 1250 that has been up for 90 days you may well be able to get it for 1050 or 1100.

Roomie came back on Friday like nothing had happened. Only real change is that I think that I caught his cold. :/

Is the construction quality to these lofts on par with the high-rise condos? I was told that high-rise condo units was pretty much a self contained units and your neighboring unit could have a fire and you would never know about it. Is there any truth to this? I am more interested in renting a loft to get away from noisy neighbors more than the lifestyle.

I must have missed the story. I thought you lived alone and currently had no power.

I don't know the exact date, but I've had the roomie for roughly a month now. Still no power, plus we're late on the rent, and the renter's insurance was cancelled, since I couldn't afford it. Still walking the razor's edge. :/

I thought the point of the roomie was so you could pay the rent and selling the truck was also going to help out.

I'm trying to get him to go down to social services to get the rent voucher, but he maintains that they need some special letter from the complex before they'll cut a check. The complex said that they don't give one out, and social services says that they don't require one, just part of the lease, and a letter from me. That's what they told me, but he doesn't believe me.
