No sonic thunderblasts here. Feel disappointed. Although they may come in over night and wake me since I sleep with the window open with great weather like this. It's been drizzling now for the last 1/2 hour. Centennial hills, and Summerlin got more rain like they always do. The closer you are to the mountains, the better the chance. And snow in the winter too.

All this talk about rain has reminded me of a lovely Carpenters tune called 'Rainy Days and Mondays Always Bring Me Down'. Moi? I'm a Seattle boy. Rain is my friend.

At least you live pretty close to your work! My eyesight at night is the pits too and when it rains it is worse. Maybe the reflections? Isn't traffic light when you are driving home?

Husband says it is raining there on his way to work this morning. He works at the VA hospital, he is loving it also! Since gray here is a primary color in the fall/spring/winter, I don't get real excited about it.

Enjoy the change, for it will not last forever!!!

Thanks for that link. We already have tickets for an event Saturday night, but we'll probably try to get out to the Bite of LV for a few hours Saturday afternoon (especially since it is being held just down the road from where we live).

Your welcome! It is a great event, we have gone the last 4 or 5 years, and always have a great time. Nice to check out a lot of different eating places without paying for a full meal we may not like.

Yes...lots of rain in CH. I opened the door last night at 11:00 pm and it was still drizzling and the cool blast of moist air was a treat! This morning the roads and my car were wet with water still. Just love it! It doesn't happen all that much so I enjoy it while I can.

I think back to getting ready for HS at 6:00 am and hearing that it was only 8 degrees on the radio. I then walked to the bus stop in the dark in the snow and ice. It was a way of life. Although I know it's dangerous when it rains a few times a year here I don't think it's anything like the conditions where I grew up where you have the risk of black ice on the roads all winter. Sadly I think Las Vegas drivers have more risk with drunk drivers than a few rain storms.

I hope all that rain stops when I get there next week. If I want rain, I'll stay here.

I thanked him for my time and told him I looked forward to coming to work there.

Just thought I'd let you guys know I nailed the interview
I have not posted in awhile. Been very busy. Sadly to say I did not get the job at Smith's as they chose to promote from within.

On the upside though I FINALLY got started at KMart and am going to continue doign my pool job on Tuesdays. I put in my two weeks notice for Vons this morning. I couldnt stand it there one more minute

BTW wanted to say I thought the rain yesterday and this morning (mainly in Summerlin this AM) has been great, and its so cool and comfy outside. The ominous storm clouds yesterday reminded me of Florida. :'(

Did that promotion from within create another job opening you may be interested in?

Congrats on your KMart job.
