Try taking the phone apart and hitting everything with a blow drier on high heat, low volume blow. We've done this to 2 way radios that have been dropped in ponds and it revives them.

It started acting up, so I copied all of my contacts over to the SIM card. I just hope that I can get a new phone!

I've done that before... sucks! Actually, i've done just about everything you can possibly do to break a phone.... good luck!

Thanks for the advice, JJ, but that's a little hard to do when you don't have electricity. If you don't recall, my stepfather had the power and gas turned off a month ago because he didn't want to be stuck with the bill. The old phone had a warranty, but since it was dropped in water (I didn't tell her that, I said that it was having brain farts) that voided out the warranty. I ended up having to buy a new for and car charger, which ending up costing me a little over $70. It's a basic phone, but at least it has a camera, video, and text messaging. Since it's a Nokia I'm hoping that the battery life will be better than the Motorola. That money was earmarked for something important, but I can't find a job if I don't have a phone.

Oh sorry, didn't remember reading about the power and gas being off. It sounds like even though you are going through some hard times, you're making some good choices that will see you out of this soon.

I saw my stepfather on Sunday. He's left the daughter that he was living with. Both her and her GF (lazy, worthless bum) have been accusing him of drinking heavily, and using Bolivian Marching Powder. He got tired of being a meal ticket, and a free baby sitter. He came to Vegas to p/u some of his stuff, and I took him to LAS. He's going to probably come back here for the rest of his stuff, then move to NC, to be with his daughter and son from his first marriage.

Yawn...I was just woken up by a librarian. I've been awake since 5:30am, and I'm only operating on a couple hours of sleep. The reason why is a long one. I need to take a nap, and get a bite to eat.

Aqua, were you in black clothes on a laptop? I think I saw you there about an hour ago.

I'm only wearing black until they come out with something darker. Was the person in question wearing headphones? If so, yup, that was me. You should have come over and said hello. I don't bite...hard.

You had them on when I walked in. I grabbed a few books and walked back by you, you had them off and was looking at Facebook. If I had more time, I would have said hi. I needed to get home to get ready for my Baker/L.A. trip tomorrow early.

I'll introduce myself next time, I promise

Yeah, that was me then. I don't always have something playing (anime), but it's easier to leave them on. I also don't always dress up as nice. Most of the time I'm wearing sweats, but I'd gone to an interview that morning. My sympathies on having to go to LA.
