Yes, even a trip to Mt. Charleston can do the trick, and climbing up to even the Meadows.

But I'm no stranger to debilitating depressions, it's like you have a ball jar on your head, and it's stuck, even with some grease, oftentimes it just won't come off! And it dark, oh so dark in there, can't see a ray of light!

Reading is another form of travel. Drugs, alcohol, the computer as well.

I'm not qualified to offer advice to any addict as I'm a smoker, which can be as bad as being addicted to heroin, so how dare I offer any addictive advice to LVD or any other person afflicted with an addiction! Shut my mouth!

That must have been horrible, for someone that usually lays rubber just one second before the light turns green!

The clouds yesterday, OMG! I love the cloud forest effect, we don't experience that often here, and when it happens, I feel like I've been transported to an Andean Mountain country. Out of sight!

I tell ya it was something else on the 215. But still pretty cool, especially as it doesn't happen that often.

My only gripe...is that I had to listen to Christmas music during "Cosmic" bowling. That's just all kinds of wrong!

I think all of us struggle with becoming an individual and deciding what traits and traditions we want to take with us. It's tough to break negative cycles but it's possible. Blaming our parents for our failures only will hold us back as an individual. At some point we need to take responsibility for ourselves. (Which I think you are kind of saying the same thing in a roundabout way.))

Thanks Lyra. I couldn't write it out correctly.

Talking Now for something funny....

Remember "Grandma got ran over by a reindeer?" This is a new funny parody of it.

Ive been taking it extremely easy on the roads. My car has poor traction in the rain and Ive been going about 10 mph under the limit on 95 when I go to and from work. The other drivers HATE it, but I dont want another accident

I wish I could just stay home and not come out until the sun comes out again

Good for you. The speed limit is actually based on perfect conditions. In the rain it should be reduced, but of course we know many don't follow that logic.

I love this rain, and more to come. I can hear him now... LVD moaning and groaning about the rain. I think a perfect song for him would be "Rainy days and Mondays."

...a certain George Thorogood song might be more perfect.
