Does anyone remember the movie "Joe's apartment?" I swear I have moved in there.

I remember that. I could never watch it. Gave me the creeps. Now if you could train your roaches, you could have a good circus act.

The problem with most low end apts is that you WILL have roaches. I don't know if they just furnish the building with them or people bring them from other area's. I really do not know how you can live with them and crawling on you too.

My roaches are not funny and do not sing and dance like the ones in the movie. They are just plain gross. Trust me, I cannot stand them crawling all over me. My best friend from Phoenix is coming into town this Thursday and is going to stay with me for 2 days. He has always lived well in nice houses all his life. He is going to be in for the shock of his life LOL. I have not told him about my "pets."

Mix 4 parts boric acid, two parts flour and ground oatmeal and one part powdered sugar and sprinkle everwhere untill you kill off every rooach nest in the building. It usually takes about two months to become roach free using this method. You can also add some butter and onion to the batch and create roach baits that you can leave in your cupboards and countertops.

I am literally going crazy in that terrible place being woken up all the time because of my neighbor upstairs. Now that it has warmed up outside it is full of roaches again. I woke up with roaches crawling on me. This is no way to live. I am stuck in this place because of my low paying job. I am ashamed to say I did not even clear $20,000 last year. I have not had a raise since I started and prices for everything is going up on top of that. I am either going to start looking for a second part time job OR try to get a better job altogether. I have not decided yet. I will admit I did not think Davie would be able to get a job on the strip but he proved me wrong. I am really proud of him for not giving up on his dream despite multiple setbacks. It is now my turn.

LVD, I don't agree with much of anything you post here about economics, politics, philosophy, (well, why keep going, it's pretty much everything ), but I will say that I hope that Davie does indeed serve as an inspiration to you and that you succeed in your quest to improve your life.

Best wishes in this endeavor.
