This will surely anger a lot of people if it passes. I sure hope it doesn't. It is a public street and telling people they cannot have their pets on it from 12 pm to 5 am is not right.

Doesn't tjlover walk his ferret on the strip at night? I'm sure he won't like this.

Yes, I was thinking about him when I read this. I also use to take two dogs to the strip daily years ago.

Yes, I continue to walk my ferret on the Strip two nites a week, and I carefully read the article, and many will be now applying for special use permits, which apparently can't be denied, and I voiced my complaint to my Clark Country Commisioner about this, explained my situation, as I never solicit for $.

That still leaves north of Sahara beyond the restrictions and Town Square where we have walked at nite. And, 200 yards (600 feet) in either direction of the Strip is unrestricted.

Unsolvable problems are sure to develop, with more and more pet-friendly hotels on the Strip, there will be pet owners who wish to walk their pets late at night as well, or other hours of the day.

I'm among the estimated 24,000 night shift workers in this 24-hour-city, and we're forbidden to use our parks after 10pm, so where to walk our pets, besides our neighborhoods, at all hours of the night???? Ferrets are heat-sensitive, can't walk them during the daytime in summer or they'll die, so I pick the coolest part of the night to walk him in the summertime! Special use permit qualifies!
