My, how encouraging. Funny, when we lived in Willcox, AZ, I went south to Aqua Prieta for an estimate of dental work from one of the AP dentists. Something seemed too expensive, where were the savings?

I went instead to a Tucson dentist. Expensive yes, but my wife and I got all the work done necessary and we're still alive to speak of it. We paid it all off while still in Arizona, before we moved to Elko. We were both working fulltime at the hospital in Willcox, so good time to get the work done. If anyone has any anecdotes of safe Mexican dentists do feel free to share, I just didn't go to a place where I felt I was saving anything over American dentists, so kind of got turned off to the Mexican dentist thing completely.

I figure I've only got 20 to 25 years to go, so they had better show up by then

It's funny how paranoid people get. As if the same Mexican guy who's trimming your bushes will be the guy dipping his dental drill in a vat of hep-c and drilling your teeth.

If you call being aware of unsanitary conditions in some Mexican dental clinics then label me paranoid. No one implied that the yard man would be the dentist.

Some people like knowing what they will die of.
Those getting dental procedures in Mexico should have Hep C added to their yearly lab work if the reassurance would be of benefit to them.

FYI
There is treatment available for Hep C that sometimes works. (not alway)
It takes at least 6 months, has severe side effects and is wildly expensive.
But hey, you save a few bucks on your teeth.

Infected razor?

HIV virus dies a few minutes in the air. Hep-C virus can still be active on a dry piece of equipment that hasn't been properly cleaned. .

This guy in Aqua Prieta was a rich guy dentist, though. His female assistants were bratty, and they had a huge waterfall inside the office that was absolutely gorgeous! I mean, this guy was talking in the dough, and taking in the dough both. That was the first time (and it may be the only time) I was ever in Mexico for anything, anywhere.

I just wasn't feelin' the savings, so I canceled the appt.'s I had made with him when I was there. The American side, the small town of Douglas, is about 10,000 people. But AP is in excess of 100,000 people.

We went with a L.A. dental credit agency called Dental Care Yes, who extended credit to us, some of it '0' interest. But that's if you pay it off at the end of every month, if you don't you get charged something like 25% interest. Needless ta say, we paid ours off monthly. It worked out great for us.
