The very best of the season to all.

May your Holiday be Merry and surrounded by those you love.

I got a bad dose of Old Man Grinch this year. But hopefully the Admiral will carry me.

Getting old is a real pain...

We had to make our own tree, this year, out of cardboard. If not for my mother, the kids would have gotten far less.
Luckily they are awesome kids and aren't spoiled brats. They are very appreciative, and weren't disappointed in the slightest.

Actually, that's very creative, EA! I like it! And, you are right to be proud of those kids. Your love and pride will stay with them longer, and mean more to them, than any store bought gift.

Kids are smarter than most adults might believe otherwise, I'm sure your kids will remember the tree, possibly forever - it's so special! It's beautifully crafted and telling a story. Love it.

A sad thing Friday morning. Our local Walgreens got held up an a clerk killed. The purported perpetrator got picked up at a house in the Arbors in Summerlin.

We all knew the guy by sight though not personally. The Admiral stopped by the Walgreens on Saturday and was asked to interview by Fox news. She declined as he was not an employee we knew personally. There is a cashier there we had been friendly with for years but she retired a couple of months ago. Another neighbor from our area did do the interview.

Great example of it can happen anywhere. The story is still not out as how he came to get shot multiple times.

Say a little prayer that he rests in peace. The Admiral is worried about how his family will do. There is a collection being taken up and I would think it is a workman's compensation case but I really don't know. How does the family of such a victim make out?
