OMG. I never look at the sticky threads and I didn't know y'all were over here talking behind my back. Can anyone join in or do you have to know what the he** y'all are talking about? And why am I suddenly reverting to saying y'all like I just drove up and haven't lost my hillbilly accent yet. Welcome to Lost Wages Kimba. We arranged for it to be cool so you can acclimate before your Dr. Scholls melt off your feet.

My wifes 95 Plymouth voyager had 275,000 mile on it when we decided it wasnt' worth the trouble anymore.

My 95 Dodge Dakota has 87,000 on it so it's just getting broke in.

Don't feel bad, Buzz. I mostly stay to the stickies. It's not as fun without Lex's patently worthless, but funny threads. Such a straight man we'll never see in lifetime again, oy!

If my car was a horse, I'd shoot it. Speaking of matters of an equine nature, tonight's Coast to Coast AM is going to be interesting. The guest tonight is convinced that he's a horse, trapped in a man's body. Okay...somebody chose the wrong day to stop sniffing glue.

Thanks for waiting for me guys.. here is an update, i only have a few cars left that are floorplanned that must be gone before i leave here (should happen this week), however i still have a warehouse full of other cars.. but i have found someone to watch over them and hopefully get rid of them for me... Now, since i have downsized in warehouse size, i am waiting for the state to do an inspection.. was hoping for last week, didnt happen.. maybe this week.... The state does not give notice for the inspections so it can happen anytime.. this is the only thing i am waiting for and then we will be on our way..
As for the job situation, i do have some $$ saved so i am not all that worried.. But what i am bringing with me is experience and also a new occupation for me.. My wife and I have been doing airbrush tattoos for festivals and parties and will make a go of it in vegas.. so we will see....
I also have a few other ideas up my sleeve so who knows.. I know we will be there at least through the summer again and longer if there is work.. I also have a realtor's license.. so there is another avenue...
I have full intention to be there by the 4th.. would love to be there by the first, since i heard that the Golden Nugget is going to have fireworks... I will keep everybody posted... By the way, Aqua, I am happy for you.. reading previous posts, i'd keep the car until it dies.. Keep an eye out on Ebay for cars locally... very good bargains there.. but look at the car before you bid.. Also, no offense to anybody, but for the longer lasting cars (not necessarily trucks) look at honda, toyota, or nissan....

As I've said many times, if this car were a horse, I'd shoot it. I've put way too much money into it, and while I do have the money. I've seen a couple of F-150s in my price range, but I'm open to anything, except Chevys.

Not a Chevy, and automatic?
Not too much to choose from. You'll have to ignore the Chevys and GMs, but the Ford Rangers look ok. Get a pre-purchase inspection for sure as they are all over 100K on the odometer.

My 1995 Honda got 333,000 miles on it before I sold it for $200 (kept overheating). Immediately went out and bought another.
