I miss Las Vegas as well. Don't know if I'll ever make it there again. I have some serious health issues I'm dealing with right now. If I survive, I'll get back one more time to my favourite place anywhere in the world.

The thing is, if I did come back here, it would not be the same. The days of me getting wasted everyday and then posting crazy things on here are long gone. Although not 100% sober, I occasionally have a beer or 2 when I go out, which is not often. I never drink at home, and I have maybe around 12 beers a
year , where as I used to drink that amount (or more) everyday. I have not been drunk in over 4 years. I am 43 years old now, and I have finally matured and grown up.
I have needed therapy for a very long time, and now that I got it, it has helped me immensely. I can now see everything clearly. I had a mother who loved me very much, but was an alcoholic and drank while pregnant giving me fetal alcohol syndrome. My dad abused me. It is no wonder I became a crazy alcoholic with the cards I was dealt. My 2 only long time friends that I knew for 26 and 31 years both ditched me as I was about to become homeless and die back in 2014. I have not talked to either of them for almost 5 years now. So many people on here had warned me that they were not my friends, and now I can finally see that they were right.
I have learned that fetal alcohol syndrome is a devastating disorder where the average life expectancy is only 34. I have already beat that by 9 years. I can not let that hold me back. I just have to do the best I can given my abilities. I am now living with someone who is where I was 5 years ago. He is an alcoholic and drug addict. He almost died a couple weeks ago and I saved his life which he is very grateful for. I am doing everything in my power to help him. I guess there is a purpose for me after all. Take care everyone.
