Whenever I take a big bruising (a bruised ego is harder to heal than physical injury) somewhere on CD.com, I just hide out for awhile in the other state forums or somewhere in General Discussions, and then reappear. Or move to Myspace or HipForums for a quick vacation.
I started a thread in Philosophy one time, and they all but tarred and feathered me. All I asked was: Why shouldn't suicide be included in the Obituary columns? I'm sure any of them would have loved to put me in an obituary column, just for asking!

Suicides belong in the Obituary column. Is death from accident or disease any more noble than death from dispair? I don't see the problem.

The incident went farther back than the poker thread and LVD started the personal attacks then and reinstated them on the poker thread. LVD was lucky that I did not enter into personal bet that he would have lost his ass. I did let the issue drop in the previous thread because I already knew LVD would just still continue to argue over the subject. Dyminage knows the line of work I am in and knows my expertise on the subject. He tried to warn LVD but it fell on deaf ears over his own pride to just admit he was just wrong on the subject. If you personally think I am a jerk. Then that’s just fine with me. I really don’t value your opinion. Personally I think Arics is the biggest @ass around here without a clue. This forum is so full of misinformation and half truth. There is only three regular posters around here that I trust their information given on certain subjects. Leaving the forum would not be any loss to me. You should also question the mental stability of a person who could be so easily angered by some comments left on a internet forum. The poor guy really needs to get some therapy.

I went back and read through that entire poker thread and LVD was dishing it out as much as anyone else. IMHO, what was directed towards him was not any worse than what he said to others.

That statement about obits not including suicides was very interesting. I did not know that. Are you saying the section of paper where someone gives the paper the info about what their loved one did and all that other background and the paper will not write it if the person committed suicide? Or are you talking about the death notices where cause of death is printed? Doesn't that seem ridiculous that suicides are treated that way? Do you think it could be the paper is trying to offer the survivors some type of privacy?
