Me too. FYI, you can always report your own post and a mod will delete it for you.

What is the time frame for deleting and editing posts? I have noticed that the options go away after some time.

Ok, since this is the chat thread, we try not to be as strict pertaining to personal attacks, etc. However, inappropriate name-calling is never acceptable on this forum so calling somebody a lewd or similarly inappropriate name is obviously not allowed.

There can be a subtle difference sometimes between calling somebody a fool and stating what they wrote was foolish. Let's be mindful of that.

If anybody wants their post removed here in the chat thread, let us know ASAP as once there are a bunch of responses, it really makes it a lot of work for a moderator to orphan all the posts that follow. Thanks.

LVD. I WILL NOT repeat WILL NOT let my car get repoed. None of you know how much that car really means to me, and I will be homeless before I let somebody take it from me.

If Im unable to pay my rent and end up sleeping in the car than fine! Of all my possessions I have, that Nissan Altima is the last thing I will let go! If the finance company or any thieves want to take it, they'll do so over my dead cold body

Ok, I did not know the car meant that much to you. I personally still would have paid off the car loan with the repair money, but you and I have different priorities when it comes to cars. You have seen mine LOL.

Yes LVD my priorities are different when it comes to my car. Regardless, I believe your car represents who you are as a person. I will not state anything about your car, I do not want to offend you or get cited for what may be considered a personal attack.

I believe my car represents me as being a classy guy (IMO Im classy) that Im a motivated and hard worker, and that I am a clean, professional and courteous young gentleman. I worked too hard to get that car, and I worked too hard to come out here and fail by letting my car get repo'ed

In the meantime I am driving a 2010 Chevy Cobalt LT. It drives nice, but it is underpowered and slow

Whether you believe me or not LVD I do appreciate the advice you give me and I DO take it into consideration. But the way you do things is not always the right way. While I do consider you a good friend, you are too negative for me to be around. I moved out here to start a new life, and have a positive attitude. While life here is not a bed of roses everyday, I do the best I can to survive and one day prosper.

This is not a personal attack. But after reading a lot of your posts I realize you really like to play the victim and make everybody feel sorry for you. I think you have a lot of sadness buried deep down which you chose to deal with via drinking. Personally I believe it comes from you losing both your parents in such a short time frame. Your mother especially.

Perhaps maybe would be a good time for you to go to counseling and attend some AA meetings. Your only 35, you're still young enough that you can change your life for the better and learn to deal with your emotional issues. You could go to college and get a degree in something and make a ton more than what you make now. You could even buy yourself a much nicer newer car

You should live your life to its best everyday. You need to take a break from city-data and just get out and enjoy life. Go to Red Rock Canyon, drive to some nice off strip casinos like the Red Rock or Rampart, or Santa Fe. Go to a nice restaurant like Joe's Crab Shack, Take a weekend trip to San Diego (I know you love it there) You always claim your car is so reliable, so hit the road and go somewhere. Even if its just to Mesquite, enjoy life while you can

LVD, I love posting on city-data as much as the next person. But you seem to let it affect you far beyond that. You're always telling me about how somebody attacked you or how somebody just made a really stupid post

Its up to you whether you really want to make life better for yourself, or if you want to continue to sit in your room all day posting on city-data, and taking your weekend trips to the strip to get hammered, driving a crummy car that has no ignition, working a $9 hour job

If you TRULY want to improve yourself I will support you and help you along the way. Its up to you, you can make life better, or keep going the way you're going. Hoenstly, I dont think you will live much longer on the current path you are on. Youre too nice of a guy to die young.

Las Vegas is IMO a happy positive place. Get in on all the good vibes in this city I try my best to add to them everyday

I agree with a lot of your post but I will clear some things up. What kind of car you drive does not reflect on what kind of person someone is. I could easily buy something like your car in cash but why bother? I only drive 200-300 miles a month (not a week). It does not make sense to have to buy a depreciating asset which is going to raise my monthly insurance and registration costs when I am barely going to use it. As far as my job, I am happy with it and the amount I make. Back in Phoenix I made twice as much money as I make now, and I absolutely HATED my job. It was going to kill me because of the horrible stress. I had my own house and two much nicer cars, but I was MORE miserable than I am now. I personally would rather have a easier job and less assets.

Your car does reflect who you are LVD. Your car says that YOU are a frugal individual who leads a very minimal life. You have THEE most basic transportation of ANYBODY I have ever met

Still LVD hit the road and go somewhere on your next two days off. Have a good time
