They're supposed to be starting construction on the new Mall of America in North Las Vegas in the coming year.

Has anyone heard anything?

It's supposed to be even bigger than the one in MN, but I haven't been able to find any more information than that...

I dont think it will be bigger than the mall in MN, but it will be the largest mall in NV. Its going to be in the Centenial Hills area of Las Vegas by deersprings/grand montecito.

Triple Five is the developer of the new Great Mall? Those guys (Canadians) can't run the existing mall called Boca Park (located at Rampart and Charleston) well as it is. A good part of it is vacant land. Steady turnover of stores. Triple Five was also implicated in giving bribes to the convicted former City Councilwoman Erin Kenney.

Hmmm...I had heard a variety of things about it. First I heard that it was going to be the biggest mall on the western half of the country, then I heard that it was going to be the biggest in the country period. I'm interested to see what ends up happening.

It may end up the biggest in Vegas...but it is not in the running for biggest in the country. Simply does not have enough space. Mall of Americas is about to double to arould 9 million square feet about the same time the one here opens.

They also own the Grand Canyon Parkway Mall, which is also mainly vacant land except for the anchors...

They also own some shopping centers like the Colonnade Square, which is always vacant and many stores close, they also own a center at Maryland and Silverado Ranch, where Stein Mart closed a store, and there's also many vacancies there...

lets see if it even gets built, plus are you really waiting for the mall to open in years to come, you might as well just move to an area with an existing mall, or live in an area like us, we live near an outlet mall, a second mall is opening in 2 months across the street diagonally from the outlets, and we are also close to frequent the Boulevard and Miracle Mile and Fashion Show, within 10 minutes to each...
